M.O.C.H.E.
Mobilizing Opportunities through Community Heritage Empowerment We are a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting, teaching, and studying the rich cultural heritage of Peru by creating partnerships with rural communities.
Our goal is to use entrepreneurial techniques to create a sustainable revenue stream for funding community-defined development projects and heritage protection efforts.
We are building on our long-standing community relationships to establish an alternative model for heritage protection, while creating sustainable avenues for employment and empowerment.
In our view, the best way to save archaeological sites is by helping rural communities, and the best way to help rural communities is by saving archaeological sites.
